| Psalm 62:5-8
For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. On God rests my deliverance and my honour; my mighty rock, my refuge is in God.
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah | | |
| Sarah Palin...I can't stand the woman. She annoys me to no end, but she won't go away! Ahhh! To bring up Pres. Obama's citizenship again as an issue important to a lot of Americans (racist Americans perhaps?) and hence worth probing is just so ridiculous and off the mark. We've got plenty of more pressing matters to worry about. Arrrrgh! | | |
| Sigh of sadness. Sigh of gratitude. Tonight mark's the band's last concert and the end of their bandom. I thank God for Delirious?--a ministry that rocked my world. Delirious? seriously and deeply rocked me because they didn't just create new sounds and rhythms, but they taught me and released me to worship. They took me to the [cutting] edge, yo. I'll never be the same.
P.S. While I was prego with Martin, he got to experience a Delirious? concert (apparently my jumping up and down didn't do too much damage). So, at least our little man got to meet (from the womb and about 10 feet away) Martin Smith, one of his namesakes.

| I dunno why exactly, but Martin has come up with this crazy idea of inverting one of his little chairs, putting various sized cups on it, dragging it around like a wagon, and saying, "I'm carrying God." Either he's thinking he's carrying the Ark of the Covenant or he's confused about something he saw on a Veggie Tales video (the one where Gideon, a "man of God" is being carted around in a parade). I think probably the latter. It's hilarious but theologically pretty funky. He woke up this morning asking me, "where did Appa [dad] put God?" In other words, "where the heck is my inverted chair with the cups on it?"

| Today we took Martin to one of the finer shopping establishments, Ikea, to pick out a "big boy" bed. He had a blast eating the $1.99 breakfast and trying out the beds. We ended up picking a very basic (and cheap!) bed because we have little room for anything bigger. Eventually, he'll be sharing a room with his lil sis. I'm not sure for how long that's acceptable (i.e., having a boy and girl share a room) but I think we can do it for as long as we're in Princeton. So far, his transition from crib to bed has been a smooth one. He was ready.
I remember when told an unni (older sister) who was on the hunt for furniture about how when Rx and I got married, we'd want to furnish our apartment from Ikea. She said, "you'll change your mind when you get older. Ikea is for college kids." A decade has past, and we still love Ikea. I mean, what's not to love? It offers form, function all at fantastic prices :) Speaking of the passing of time, Rx and I celebrated (though not formally) our 15th-year anniversary as couple last week. It's not our wedding anniversary, but our dating anniversary, which is November 9, 1994. Crazy, huh? 15 years!
I'll post pics later of Martin and his new bed. It's sleepy time.
